New Training Opportunities for Teachers in Spring 2024

This spring, the VIS Support Programme is again offering two exciting training opportunities for teachers interested in developing their skills in virtual international collaboration and creating impactful online intercultural exchanges.

Participation is free of charge for participants with a valid VIS project ID. Only one person from each VIS project can participate in one of these trainings. Introduction to virtual co-designed international collaboration
This training is designed for teachers with little or no experience in virtual international cooperation projects. The training contains four half-day sessions, each focusing on different aspects of Virtual Exchange pedagogy and setting up successful VIS projects.

  • Dates: 28 February, 1, 6 and 8 March, from 9:00-13:00 (language of instruction depends on number of registrations and preference)
  • Time investment: 16 hours in total
  • Registration Deadline: 16 February 2024

Participants will gain hands-on experience with platforms such as Moodle and Zoom and learn about integrating technology into pedagogy, designing projects and overcoming challenges in VIS.

Adding impact to your collaborative, learner-led online intercultural exchange process
This training is designed for teachers with some experience in virtual international collaboration. The focus is on designing and evaluating effective student-centred online exchange processes.

  • Dates:
    English-language: 28 May, 4, 11 and 18 June from 15:00 to 17:00.
    Dutch- or English-language: 30 May, 6, 13 and 20 June from 15:00 to 17:00
  • Time investment:16 to 18 hours in total
  • Registration Deadline: 10 May 2024

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge on VIS pedagogy, designing learning processes and evaluating the impact of their projects.
