VIS Live Event great success!

On November 7, the third VIS Live! Event took place at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.

We look back on a very successful event, but more importantly, so did the participants! According to the evaluation, the event was perceived as very useful. Particularly the networking and learning & inspiring from and with each other was highly appreciated.

The event was rated with an avarage score of 8.5, so we are very satisfied with that.

The day started with an advice and information market. There were various stands, poster presentations and participants were able to exchange experiences on VIS projects. After a delicious lunch, it was time for the central opening, in which three students played an important role, telling what their participation in a VIS project has meant to them. Great to hear from them how valuable it was and what they learned from it: knowledge about digital remote working, taking other cultures into account, project-based working, and a literal look beyond the institution’s borders. How special and beautiful it is to see how the low-threshold VIS grant can have such an impact on students.

Then it was time for various workshops and presentations. Many thanks to all participants for providing so many interesting and high-quality contributions! We saw substantive presentations on VIS projects and on how to embed VIS more sustainably in the institution. The Ministry of OCW was also present to engage with participants on 3 years of VIS.

We closed the day with a presentation by Dialogic on the outcomes of VIS projects so far based on the published interim report. Judging by the interaction with the audience, this too was very valuable. Nice to see valuable outcomes in the data as well as great student stories on this day. Great results on VIS projects and very nice to see what we are all doing it for.

Afterwards, we had a nice chat while having drinks. It is good to see that people who got to know each other in the trainings are still in touch and look each other up to brainstorm about VIS.

Thanks to everyone for making this valuable event possible. We will include the evaluation highlights in the 2025 edition and hope to see you again then!
