Call for posters and videos - VIS live event 2025

In 2025, the last edition of the VIS Live! event will take place, on Thursday afternoon, 13 November, in Groningen.   

In recent years VIS Live! has developed into the meeting and knowledge exchange place for everyone in the Netherlands involved in Virtual International Cooperation activities. During this final event we would like to celebrate the successes of the past years, contribute to the integration and continuation within institutions and further strengthen the VIS community.    

We mainly want to highlight examples of successful embedding at the course, programme or institution level.   

Therefore, we invite you to make one or more contributions to VIS Live! in the following format:    

1. Poster presentation: An oral explanation of a printed poster, covering the following points: 

• Which institutions work together? Within which disciplines?   

• What topics are central to the VIS project?  

• What is the added value of the project for the education being provided? Specifically, what are the benefits for students and faculty?   

• What are or were the main challenges for the project? How did you overcome them?  

• In what way are you trying to use the project sustainably within your educational institution? What support do you have for this?   

2. Video presentation: A video recording of up to 5 minutes in which students talk about their experiences with VIS. In the video, students from a VIS project answer the following questions:  

• Which country did you collaborate with? 

• What did you work on together? 

• What did you learn most from the project? What do you think is the added value? 

• What stood out most to you during the collaboration? 

• What did you enjoy most about the VIS project? 

• Finally, what message would you like to convey to the teachers?  

After the project, we want to make the videos permanently available for higher education in the Netherlands.

Deadline 

We kindly request that you submit the type of contribution you would like to make, along with a title and a brief proposal for the content, as well as your name and contact details. The deadline for submissions is 23 May. After reviewing all submissions, we will contact you regarding the format and content of the presentation and how you can submit it.  

In addition to these poster and video presentations, the programme will consist of presentations by invited speakers and other activities that we are still preparing.
